It was incredibly fortunate that we met our winemaker and winery partner, Linda Donovan. At the time we met, she was a well credentialed Cal Davis graduate and rapidly rising star in Oregon’s winemaking firmament. Click here to see Linda’s bio.

Like all true artisans, Linda has a bit of intolerance for anything less than complete dedication to making the absolute best wine possible with every varietal, every lot, every vintage year. Otherwise, it’s ‘no wine for you!’

From our perspective, the only reason to make wine at all was to make the best wine possible. So, we hit it off right away.

After a few award winning vintages doing the ‘custom crush’ thing at local wineries, the writing was on the wall: Rogue Valley needs its own, dedicated custom crush facility. So we created an LLC with Linda, developed a business plan, secured financing & investors, bought a historic warehouse in downtown Medford and converted it into a 25,000 case winery, aka Pallet Wine Company. www.palletwine.com

What’s so gratifying about being associated with Pallet, besides the super-cool, ‘urban winery’ feel of the old building, is the incredible amount winemaking energy, both from Linda and her staff, as well as from the roughly 25 vineyards, winemakers and assorted labels, who make their wines there. This diversity of talent & passion, grape varietals and dedication to excellence has created a fantastic ecosystem for producing some really top-shelf wines.
